Description:
Singur cu propria foame explores a state of being rather than a narrative. It grows out of a lifelong tension between closeness and distance, desire and isolation. An inner hunger that does not disappear with success, relationships, or stability, and a solitude that persists even in the presence of others.
My work arises not from material need, but from a persistent emotional void. It moves around intensity. Around the unachievable desire for connection and the knowledge that closeness can overwhelm, that fire can burn. The artworks in this exhibition are not explanations. They just came into being from the depths of honesty and vulnerability.
They do not seek closure. They stay with the tension of longing, in the long hours of night, with the experience of being alone with my own hunger.
